The Bridal Suite
The Bridal Suite is a romantic and intimate haven, ideal for loving couples celebrating the most special time of their lives. This spacious room offers a huge 4 poster bed draped in white fabric, creating an intimate and luxurious atmosphere. Large windows overlook the lovely gardens and dam, and stunning furniture pieces adorn the rest of this glorious en-suite room.
The Indian Suite
Oozing Oriental charm, the Old Indian Colonial days are reflected in this opulent suite. This en suite, double bedded room is draped with traditional Indian wall hangings, elaborately carved screens and ancient artifacts, offering wonderful Drakensberg accommodation.
The Victorian Suite
The opulent Victorian Suite is an east facing, elegant room, keeping the original theme of the majestic manor house. Large sash windows overlook a tranquil garden, and a huge king size, four poster bed creates a luxurious focal point.
The Egyptian Suite
The Egyptian Suite is a beautiful room reflecting the mystery and magic of Egypt. A large 4 poster bed adorns the middle of the room, with the rest of the room made up of an abundance of decorative Egyptian artefacts, giving the room an authentic feel.
The Chinese Suite
This luxurious suite creates an aura of ancient China, and features a large en suite bathroom, complete with cast iron ball and claw bath and shower. Many stunning furniture pieces adorn the room, creating an authentic atmosphere of the east.
The Garden Suites
A further 17 Garden Suites at Calderwood offers comfortable Drakensberg accommodation in tastefully decorated rooms overlooking a large and tranquil pasture, with the possibility of spotting some dairy cows in the distance.
All rooms boast heaters, beds with feather duvets and French doors opening onto a peaceful verandah, making the Garden Suites the ideal accommodation for families or conference groups. Five of the Garden suites can accommodate families, catering for up to 5 guests. The rest of the rooms are twin bedded.
Rondavel
A charming thatch rondavel is situated alongside to the Manor House and offers an authentic 'Out of Africa' feel. An impressive collection of hand made arts and crafts from the people in the area adorns the room. A double bed with feather duvet and a full bathroom with a large shower complete this lovely Drakensberg accommodation.
